It is with great enthusiasm and optimism that I anticipate the 2022-2023 school year. We fully understand that a successful school district places a high degree of importance on ensuring that all children have the opportunity to reach their full potential inside and outside of the classroom. That is why our concentrated focus is on maximizing every person’s potential every day. Additionally, we have placed a great deal of emphasis on student safety and overall well being in recent years. That combination will provide a foundation for success at Garaway and within our community for years to come. Our school system is in excellent shape both financially and academically. Our five year forecast and testing data reflect that excellence. This year we will strive to exceed the quality measures of the present, while constantly looking to the future so that we are preparing young people and our community for success. Our theme this year is Masterpiece. It is about recognizing that everyone is made special and it is our job to notice that and maximize the great potential within them. Michelangelo, perhaps history's greatest sculptor, understood this concept to his core. Two of his more famous quotes speak directly to this: 1. “Every block of stone has a statue inside it and it is the task of the sculptor to discover it.” 2. “I saw the angel in the marble and carved it until I set him free.” Please, continue to get involved, exhort and cheer for our students. We encourage you to join us in this theme and help bring out the masterpiece in those around you. If you have questions, comments, suggestions or thanks, do not hesitate to contact me at 330-852-2421 or email [email protected]Sincerely,

Due to inclement weather conditions, we may have to cancel school or run on a two hour delay schedule. Many people have questions about this process.
