Parents and guardians have the right to know teaching qualifications of their child’s teacher(s). The federal law, No Child Left Behind, requires that all local school districts receiving Federal Title 1 funds notify parents that they may request information regarding the professional qualifications of their child’s teacher(s) and instructional assistants. Parents and guardians may request the information by contacting their child’s principal with a written request.
Parent Information and Resource Centers provide both services and information to parents on how to become involve in their child’s education and activities that can strengthen student achievement. This resource is available at www.ohiopirc.org.
